Ukrainian education abroad

A video story about Max, a Ukrainian schoolboy who moved from Mariupol to London after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia. He has made new friends and is learning English, but for Anastasia, his mother, it’s important that he does not forget his native language and stays connected with Ukrainians.

The project “Staying with Ukraine” has been a support for this family, providing a backbone for Ukrainian children temporarily living abroad due to Russian aggression. Implemented by the NGO “Smart Osvita” with support from Theirworld and the Global Business Coalition for Education, this project maintains students’ connections with the Ukrainian language, literature, and history, despite the distance.
